LAPD SENIOR LEAD OFFICER'S LATEST NEWSLETTER
Hollywood 6A31, “Hollywood Hills”
Senior Lead Officer Ralph Sanchez, 213-485-4316
Basic Car District Coordinator, Sergeant Darrell Davis 213- 485-4316
ALERT! We have been getting hit in the hills with Burglaries. Suspects are entering through an unlocked door/window, and more than ever, they are getting onto properties without being detected. We need to watch our neighbor’s property and report suspicious people and vehicles in the neighborhood. If you see anything, please call 1-877-ASK-LAPD.
We are still having overcrowded issues at Runyan Canyon Park’s north entrance. Mulholland is deemed a public highway. We have had near traffic collisions due to people stopping on the roadway and waiting for a parking spot. Putting on your emergency flashers and waiting does not constitute a legal stop. We have had vehicles block residential driveways; some have been cited and towed. We need to keep safety and respect a main concern. I will direct extra patrol in the area on weekends to help control and keep the flow peaceful. Signs are posted and all violators will be cited and/or towed.
Please continue to report all suspicious activities in your area. “The Hot Items” to be stolen are Lap tops in plain sight, Ipods, Jewelry and Cash.
Continue to send me troubled traffic “Hot Spots.” Our West Traffic Bureau Officers will, and continue to do a great job responding to our needs.
During these hot summer months, we all need to be cognizant of how dry the vegetation is in the areas this year and how fast a fire can spread. Fireworks are ILLEGAL in the City of Los Angeles and will be enforced. BBQ’s should be cleaned and inspected regularly. If you see anyone setting off fireworks in a high brush/fire area, call 911. Your help and education can make this holiday a great celebration.
Please continue to report all suspicious activities in your area. Again, I send out an open invitation to have your property inspected.
If you are having a party, please be considerate of your neighbors. If you are confronted with loud parties, you can call 1-877-ASK-LAPD and then send me an e-mail at 30735@lapd.lacity.org. Include the address or location of where the loud party is; estimated number of guests and main complaint.
